Prof. Dr. Ge­rar­dus ´t Hooft Uni­ver­si­ty of Ut­recht

In 1999, the No­bel Pri­ze was awar­ded to both Ge­rar­dus ’t Hooft and his the­sis su­per­vi­sor, Mar­ti­nus Velt­man, for their pionee­ring work on elu­ci­da­ting the quan­tum struc­tu­re of elec­tro­weak in­ter­ac­tions.
