Molecular interactions and communication
A cell is a dynamic compartment crowded with moving and interacting molecules which perform time-sensitive chemical reactions. Depending on the developmental and environmental state, the interplay of these molecules facilitates complex interactions within and outside the cell. Without being limited to the following questions, this session focuses on the nature of molecular interactions in specific cellular reactions, how biology-like reaction networks may have formed at the origin of life outside of the first cells, and the possibility of designing synthetic reactions which would outperform the biological ones for biotechnological and biomedical applications. In addition to studies on intracellular and synthetic networks, we also invite investigations on microbial interactions within communities or with their hosts.
